The everyday problem with disconnected systems
When an accountant reviews several clients' accounts, they may need to log in and out of multiple platforms, remember different passwords and keep several browser tabs open at once. Apart from taking time, this creates the risk of looking at the wrong information for the wrong client.
It also means learning how to navigate every system a client has selected. One piece of software may make a report easy to find, while another hides the same information behind a completely different menu. The accountant still reaches the information eventually, but there is a lot of unnecessary effort along the way.

The platform also handles the access credentials for connected systems. There is less need to remember multiple account details, less switching between browser tabs and less chance of opening the wrong system during a client review.
For us, the benefit is straightforward. Accountants can spend less time navigating software and more time working with the information their clients need.
More than another reporting application
Although LiteFoot Accounting feels like an application, at its heart it is a platform. Standardised reporting is an important part of it, but that is not where the capability ends.
We can add other data streams, practice-specific measures and highly bespoke reporting. For example, CRM data can be blended with financial information to provide a broader view of what is happening within a client's business.
This gives an accountancy practice the option to move beyond a fixed set of reports. The platform can reflect the information the practice values and the service it wants to provide, helping accountants offer clients greater clarity and a richer reporting experience.
